Gardening Articles 2016
Being a compulsive writer is a bit of a worry. Am I too boring? Repeating myself - again? Is there anything new under the gardening sun? Well, probably not, but whenever I'm thinking about the garden I have to write my thoughts down. The nicest thing about having my own garden web-site is that I can happily publish myself, even if I'm boring. And each year always brings new challenges, particularly when old mistakes become glaringly obvious. So forgive me if I'm still using the same old adjectives to describe the roses and enjoy my Gardening Articles for 2016.

Only a Rose...
- This spring-summer the roses are all showing off, blooming brilliantly. So I've been desperately trying to identify several of the no-names, some of which I've never before noticed or photographed. Searching through my old journals, looking for rose lists...

Slow.....
- Gardening thought for the day (sub in the word week, season, year, as required). Being thorough means being slow. Nit-picking slow. Not that slow isn't pleasant. Slow, particularly in spring, is inspiring. Snow as a snail? Maybe not. Slow as an earthworm - much better!

Scruffy...
- My mid-summer garden looks totally and utterly scruffy. But doesn't this happen every year? It comes with the season, and I can easily explain it. Justify it, even. I blame the light and the roses. And...
