Naughty again...

Have been naughty again. I've been outside in my lunchtime cafe clothes (white linen shirt, good jeans and shoes) pruning suckers, trimming the edges, and raking up mess. Soooo naughty!

And now I've come inside to change, it's a great excuse to grind to a halt, look through the latest photographs and pick out the most beautiful, hee hee...

 Malus Charlotte.
Late Crab-Apple Blossom

Aha! Later, after three hours of garbed goodness (?) my gardening clothes (yeay! I got changed!) are covered in streaks of dirt and forget-me-not seeds. I've been sitting in the Driveway Garden pulling out the old plants and tidying the edges. It's all looking beautiful - the adjective of the day!

Think this is Red Fred, not sure. The noisy one!
Hello Fred

Thursday 31st October

I was good again. I wore my gardening clothes and worked hard in the extremely flowery Hump Garden weeding. Bees buzzed around the Aquilegia and Campion flowers. Such a busy, colourful vibe.

Dogs and cats...

Darling dog Winnie (who has seriously lost her mobility) sat on the path by my wheelbarrow. No more throwing of tennis balls for her - so sad. Then one of the Fred cats turned up, noisy and smoochy. Maybe he was telling me how much he loved me? Of course he was!

Oops...

Things we say (without thinking) to our dogs. Pebbles my younger dog was also hanging around, keeping me company. Patting her, I heard myself ask her : 'Would you be better behaved if I was nicer to you?' Oh dear me. My slightly dodgy attitude to my anxious, sensitive dog. Oops. Can do better? We both can, I reckon.

Thanks again, October, for being so beautiful. Thanks, rhododendrons and roses for overlapping so nicely.
