Cat & Dog Pictures

It can be very complicated taking photos of animals in the garden. Focusing on a tabby cat's stripes is a challenge, and as soon as the photographer crouches down for an eye level shot the cat moves closer to say hello.

Cats strike memorable poses when the film hasn't been wound on, and then wander off, bored, as soon as the photographer is ready. Dogs will sit for a photo, because that's something they're taught to do, but they'll always look the same.

My garden is full of all sorts of other animals including sheep, countless (and knowledgeless) bird species, wood, trout, frogs, ducks.

Tiger, our striped little cat with white paws, is sitting pensively, wrapped up in a tussock grass. We call her a tabby, but our vet calls her a tortoiseshell - perhaps she is a bit of both?
